Nice to meet!
Hi, I am Nancy Phillips, APN, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified.
I began my nursing career in an acute care setting, primarily focusing on patients with complex cardiovascular diseases. As I transitioned into the role of a Family Nurse Practitioner, I discovered a profound passion for mental health. In this role, I worked with a diverse range of patients from various socio-economic backgrounds, many of whom were managing chronic conditions and mental health challenges. I prioritized conducting comprehensive assessments that took into account a wide array of factors, including medical history, lifestyle, and socio-economic influences. I am committed to empowering patients by providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed health decisions. My approach is holistic, emphasizing the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
After completing a post-master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Wilkes University, I joined Creative Change Counseling, drawn by their mission, which closely aligns with my own values and goals. As a mental health provider, I am committed to ensuring that individuals facing mental health challenges receive quality, uninterrupted care. I am particularly passionate about advocating for clients in underserved communities, where socio-economic factors significantly influence health outcomes.
In addition to client advocacy, I am known for being personable, enthusiastic, and an attentive listener. I believe every client deserves the same level of care, patience, and attention, regardless of the time of day. My core belief is that each person is unique and deserves personalized care tailored to their individual needs.
