About Me

Great to meet you!

Welcome on your journey to start living your best life!  I am a Licensed Masters Level Clinician in Social Work, with 20+ years of experience working with children, teens, families, adults, and elders.  I graduated from Rutgers University with High Honors in Social Work, because I have a passion for helping my clients overcome any and all challenges in life.  I also have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology that helps me with a holistic approach to healing.  I am skilled in working with trauma-survivors, anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, BiPolar Disorder, unhealed childhood wounds, and Health Anxiety.  I am honest, authentic, nurturing, caring, fun, and playful, while I also take my job very seriously.  I will cognitively challenge overthinking or intrusive thoughts only, if my clients are feeling stuck.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize an eclectic approach to help my clients heal from a Humanistic Perspective.  I know there is no one-sized fit all strategy towards healing.  Hence, as we build a rapport, I get to learn more about you and what will work best for you.  I will focus on Inner Peace by utilizing techniques such as Stress Management, Anger Management, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-focused, Problem-Solving, Strengths-based, Mindfulness, Somatic Exercises (Self-Directed/Self-Soothing), Amygdala-Healing, and Gut-Brain Health Education, as well as, Trauma-based Strategies, to assist you with beginning to live your best life.  Most importantly, I believe in treating the total person, within my scope of practice, via encouraging research on natural and holistic remedies for anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances.  We know that there can be a stigma towards receiving therapy, but we all need someone to talk to or process daily challenges with, sometimes.  Therefore, I am here for you!

What you can expect from our first session

I will introduce myself, provide you with disclaimers, transparency, and begin building a rapport, while completing assessment questions.  I intend to explore your readiness for positive change, based on your own narrative and inner-standing about your own challenges.  Naturally, I will have to provide you with a Clinical Diagnosis, as required, either at the end of the session or during our next follow-up session.  I will review your Client History Form, and listen to your story.  We will create the Treatment Plan together, during our follow-up session, with your identified and expressed goals.  I will then establish the objectives to assist you with accomplishing your goals, and you sign-off on the Treatment Plan goals/objectives, since it is your life and your journey!  You are the Captain of your ship, to do the healing work at your own pace, and I am just the navigator here to observe, assist, encourage, nurture, support, educate, and help you navigate life challenges.  I am grateful to be your professional support person, and I want to congratulate you on choosing yourself to begin living your best life!!!
